What’s happening at the World Cup?

Tournament hosts the USA got dumped out of the tournament after losing 4-1 to Belgium in the Round of 16. All of this despite Donald Trump’s best efforts to bend the rules in their favour by having a quiet word with FIFA president Gianni Infantino and getting star striker Folarin Balogun’s suspension overturned. Perhaps Belgium’s win is also a win for football. Here are the upcoming fixtures:

  • Tue 7 July: Argentina vs Egypt, Round of 16, 18:00 kickoff.
  • Tue 7 July: Switzerland vs Colombia, Round of 16, 22:00 kickoff.
  • Thu 9 July: France vs Morocco, quarter-final, 22:00 kickoff
  • Fri 10 July: Spain vs Belgium, quarter-final, 21:00 kickoff
  • Sat 11 July, Norway vs England, quarter-final, 23:00 kickoff
