The award was presented at the 19th South African Film and Television Awards. Many talented actors and filmmakers were recognised for their work in the South African entertainment industry.
Khoza took to social media to share moments of himself standing on stage while collecting the award. He wrote, “This award is not mine. It belongs to God – whose grace carries me when I am weak, whose light guides every step, and through whom all things are possible.”
“It belongs to my family – the support behind the scenes, the foundation that keeps me grounded when the world moves fast.”
The actor also showed love to his wife for standing by him through his career. “It belongs to my wife @lesegokhoza_official – my partner, my strength – who has stood beside me every step of this journey.”
“Holding our home, caring for our daughter, and loving me through every long day and every late night when the work called me away.”
Khoza also recognised the team behind the telenovela. “It belongs to the incredible cast of iThonga, artists who poured their hearts and spirits into telling this story.”
He also honoured the crew who worked behind the scenes. “And to the crew — the unsung heroes who carried the weight of every day under immense pressure, yet still made the impossible look effortless on screen.”
The actor also thanked the viewers who supported the show. “Most importantly, it belongs to the viewers. The people who welcomed us into their homes every night at 20:30 and made this story part of their lives.”
He continued,“Thank you for allowing us to tell a story about the bond between twins — a bond that moves beyond the physical and into the spiritual.”
“Thank you to @tshedzapictures for believing in my gift and trusting me with work I truly believe I was born to do.”
“Thank you to@mzansimagic @multichoice_group @sasapiliso and the commissioning editors for giving us the platform to bring this story to life.”
“And finally – This award belongs to every Black child who has ever dared to dream.”
“Let this stand as evidence. That dreams are not impossible. That faith is powerful. And that when you fight with your whole heart — victory will always find you. Dreams do come true.”
