The Ofentse Pitse Concert Series returns on 27th May with Episode 2, continuing its bold exploration of orchestral music within today’s South African sound.

Curated and led by trailblazing conductor Ofentse Pitse, the series brings a fresh perspective to live music, blending classical composition with contemporary culture in a way that feels both dynamic and accessible.

For Episode 2, Ofentse collaborates with Young Stunna, one of the most influential voices in Amapiano and music at large. Known for his distinctive sound and chart-topping hits, Young Stunna’s music will be reimagined through a full live orchestra, creating a powerful fusion of genres on stage.

Structured as a two-part experience, the concert begins with a classical orchestral performance before transitioning into a contemporary collaboration, a format that has become central to the identity of the series.

Ofentse Pitse is a South African conductor, composer, and creative director who has gained international recognition for her work in reimagining orchestral music. She is one of the youngest female conductors to achieve this level of global recognition, marking a significant moment for representation within the space.

Known for her ability to bridge genres and audiences, her work is rooted in storytelling and collaboration, consistently pushing the boundaries of what orchestral music can sound like, look like, and feel like in a modern context. Through the Concert Series, she continues to build a platform that brings together different musical worlds in a way that feels both intentional and new.
