Australian households are now adding home batteries faster than new rooftop solar systems, and if the current pace holds, the country could have about 59.2 gigawatt-hours of household energy storage by the 2029-30 financial year. That would be roughly 79% above the 33 gigawatt-hours projected in the Australian Energy Market Operator's Integrated System Plan, according to the Clean Energy Council's latest half-yearly report, as detailed by RenewEconomy.
