Metalworkers union Numsa has asked the labour court to dismiss an urgent application by disgruntled regional leaders who want to have general secretary Irvin Jim and other national office-bearers held accountable for alleged breaches of the union’s constitution, which they say jeopardise the convening of its national congress.
