Huge Steam Deck price increase doesn't bode well for Steam Machine

Valve has joined the likes of Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo by announcing plans to increase the price of its hardware, specifically the Steam Deck OLED. The 512GB Steam Deck OLED used to retail for £479 in the UK, but will now cost a whopping £649. The 1TB model, on the other hand, will now cost £779, which is up from the previous price tag of £569. It's a pretty sizeable price increase, and one that's blamed on rising component costs.
