Acclaimed Ghanaian artist Ibrahim Mahama transforms the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain in Paris into a space for confronting history and reconsidering Africa’s cultural possibilities. The exhibition marks the Mahama’s first major exhibition in Paris and is set to open in October 2026. Known for working with materials that carry the imprint of labour, trade and economic exchange in his practice to expose the systems of power embedded in everyday things, ‘The Harvest Season’ extends this approach, asking what remains of earlier visions of progress and how their unrealised possibilities might inform alternative futures.
