Jonathan Isaac never planned to become a shoemaker. The forward spent the first years of his professional basketball career trying to stay on the court, and for long stretches his body would not let him. Now, at 28, the injuries that defined his time in the league have turned into the backdrop for a second act that few athletes attempt while still playing.
