Kaizer Chiefs have loaned out promising young defender Xolani Cossa to Motsepe Foundation Championship side Gomora United for the 2026-27 season.

KAIZER CHIEFS SEND XOLANI COSSA TO GOMORA UNITED

The left-footed centre-back spent the previous campaign in Botswana where he was on loan at Black Lions FC.

And while there were expectations that Chiefs may be tempted to keep him after the departure of Aden McCarthy, the club decided not to.

Black Lions also showed interest in having Cossa for a second season, but the Chiefs hierarchy had other ideas.

Gomora United then came and requested to have the 21-year-old for the new season, and they reached an agreement with Amakhosi.

Cossa will reunite with former teammate from the Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team Sifiso Timba.

This will be Timba’s first full season with Gomora United as he joined them on loan at the start of the year for the second half of last term.

MORE LOAN MOVES EXPECTED

Meanwhile, more players are expected to be loaned out for the 2026-27 season, including goalkeeper Bontle Molefe.

Molefe spent last season on loan at Leicesterford City in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

The arrival of Renaldo Leaner from Sekhukhune United somehow minimized Molefe’s chances of returning to the Amakhosi first team.
