Leicestershire have signed Australian all-rounder Ashton Turner for the 2026 T20 Blast campaign.
The 32-year-old, who featured 28 times for Australia in limited-over formats between 2017 and 2023, played in the 20-over competition for Lancashire last season and previously played for Durham.
Turner has captained Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League and has amassed more than 3,800 runs in the shortest format of the game in a career that has also seen him play franchise cricket in Pakistan, India and South Africa.
The Australian will be reunited with Alfonso Thomas at Leicestershire, with the Foxes head coach playing alongside Turner at the Scorchers more than a decade ago.
"Having played alongside him at the Perth Scorchers, I know first-hand the professionalism, competitiveness and character he brings to a team," Thomas told the club website.
"He is a serial trophy winner, a proven match-winner, and an outstanding leader who sets the highest standards for those around him."
