A caprese salad is so quintessentially Italian that even its colors of red, white, and green mimic the Italian flag. The combination of tomato, mozzarella cheese, and basil is delicious even when not in salad form (don’t sleep on caprese sheet pan gnocchi or a caprese grilled cheese), and my favorite way to have it for dinner is in this caprese chicken orzo bake.
