Why Are Beliefs About Politics, DEI, and Religion Resilient?

In general, people hold strongly to their beliefs about the big three hot-button ideas: politics, DEI, and religion. As a professor of psychology and neuroscience, I’ve studied how our brains settle on one viewpoint; even with additional knowledge or experience, we remain resistant to other viewpoints. We are reluctant to adjust viewpoints, which may be due to nature, nurture, or a combination of both.
