A post highlighting a mother’s frustration that the R580 monthly Child Support Grant isn’t enough sparked outrage rather than sympathy. Daniel Scott Kubatsi argued the grant should be axed altogether, saying, “This child support grant or whatever it’s called, should just be scrapped, because it’s another enabling factor of these increasing pregnancies. Cut the grants, and the pregnancies will go down.”
