South African media personality and entrepreneur Boity Thulo has opened up about what her new ambassadorship with local sneaker brand Bathu means to her.
The star recently announced that she has partnered with the popular footwear brand and has officially been named the ambassador for Bathu’s latest sneaker collection called The Volt Pack.
Speaking about the collaboration in an interview with The Citizen, Boity shared that she feels honoured to represent a brand that connects with South Africans and celebrates authenticity.
“I’m proud to be part of a brand that resonates with South Africans and celebrates authenticity,” she said.
According to Boity, the Volt Pack collection reflects the brand’s focus on inclusivity and understanding what customers truly want. She explained that many South African consumers are confident in expressing their opinions and know exactly what they are looking for when it comes to fashion and style.
“They know what they want and they don’t dally around whatever it is that is presented to them. They don’t just take anything. They are very specific, and they speak their mind,” she said.
She added that authenticity is an important part of the brand’s identity and success.
“It’s all about authenticity. It’s all about giving and hearing what it is that they want and giving them exactly that,” she explained.
Boity also shared that the partnership feels natural to her because she has had a long-standing relationship with the brand. She described herself as someone who has always supported Bathu and admired its journey.
“I’ve always had a friendship with Bathu. I feel like I am a friend of the brand,” she said.
The media personality added that Bathu’s story of starting from humble beginnings strongly resonates with her personal journey and career.
“It represents a story of humble beginnings and then getting out of there and walking that journey,” she said.
