I often hear people say, “We have come so far, now we are equal.” Or sometimes, “Why do you still talk about rights? Everything is already fair now.” But every time I hear these words, I pause and think deeply — is that really true? Is equality something we can just “achieve” once, put in a box, and forget about? Or is it something much bigger, much deeper, that we need to live, protect, and practice every single day of our lives?
