The North West Province has taken another important step toward strengthening agricultural development following a strategic engagement between senior provincial and national government leaders. The Head of Department, Dr. Hans Kekana, together with the Department’s Chief Directors, recently hosted the Director-General of the National Department of Agriculture, Mr. Mooketsa Ramasodi, for an important meeting focused on the Comprehensive Agricultural Support Programme (CASP). The engagement highlighted the shared commitment of both spheres of government to improving support for farmers and ensuring that agricultural development remains a key priority. As agriculture continues to play a vital role in food production, rural employment and economic growth, discussions around funding and development programmes remain essential. The meeting demonstrated the importance of collaboration in creating practical solutions that benefit farmers across the North West Province.
