The Eastern Cape government continues to place agriculture at the centre of rural development and youth empowerment initiatives. In a significant demonstration of this commitment, Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane joined Agriculture MEC Nonceba Kontsiwe to hand over tractors to young farmers from Bizana and King Mhlontlo in EmaXesibeni. The initiative forms part of the provincial government’s broader strategy to encourage youth participation in agriculture and strengthen food production across rural communities. By providing access to essential farming equipment, the government aims to improve productivity, reduce operational costs, and create sustainable agricultural enterprises.
