THE FUSE

The Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs (DARDLEA), in partnership with Seedlink, recently hosted a successful Farmers Day that brought farmers together for a practical exchange of agricultural knowledge and ideas. Farmers from around Emalahleni and Middelburg gathered at the JMB Trading and Project farm in Elandspruit, outside Middelburg, within the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality. The event provided producers with an opportunity to learn more about farming technologies while engaging with agricultural specialists and fellow farmers. It also created a platform where farmers could openly raise concerns affecting their daily operations and seek guidance on possible solutions. The collaboration highlighted the value of bringing government support, private-sector expertise and farmers together to address practical challenges affecting agricultural production.
