With the shooting of Renee Good, and the public reaction to it, American citizens can detect patterns. Some people are accepting of militarized men in our public streets. Most people find it repulsive; it is contrary to the rule of law, our Constitution, and the belief that no one is above the law.

The abhorrent murder was followed by thousands of protesters in the streets. Most want to abolish ICE and illegal actions by leaders, including foreign invasions that inevitably kill innocent bystanders.

The misogyny involved deserves an entire story in itself. A man yelling “F______g B-word” after shooting a mother in the face went largely unnoticed in the aftermath and shock; here is a story from

Y.L. Wolfe

that challenges recent expressions of this kind of white masculinity.
