The United States will launch an effort Monday to “guide” ships stranded near the Strait of Hormuz, President Donald Trump said, giving limited details about a large-scale plan involving hundreds of ships and about 20,000 seafarers affected by Iran’s blockade. He said “neutral and innocent” countries have been impacted and that the U.S. will help ensure their ships move safely through restricted waters to continue trade operations.
