THE FUSE

At the Free State Provincial Youth Farmers Day, young agricultural entrepreneurs gathered to share experiences and reflect on their journeys in farming. The event, held in the Free State, focused on youth participation in agriculture and the role of farming in building sustainable livelihoods. Attendees included emerging farmers from different districts who are actively building small and medium agricultural businesses. During the engagement, several young farmers gave short testimonies about their progress, challenges, and lessons learned in the sector. The event created a platform for honest conversations about what it takes to survive and grow in agriculture as a young person.
