Conservatives know They’re Lying, They Just Don’t Care

You cannot convince bad-faith actors; they only have lies

You wouldn’t exactly be hard-pressed to find a topic conservatives lie about on a daily basis. Whether it’s the number of illegal immigrants in the US, the impact of welfare spending or the number of apparent lazy moochers on food stamps, if conservatives are making a point about any of these things, they’re most likely lying. On one level, this is incredibly frustrating to have to deal with. But, it’s worth noting amongst all of this, conservatives don’t care if they’re lying at all.

The truth is that conservatives lie as they breathe.

A great example I saw of this recently was Michael Glasheen, an FBI agent and an operations director of the National Security branch, being questioned on his attacks on Antifa.

Antifa is, for the unaware, not an organization in any real sense. It’s more of a loose association of people who oppose fascism. Antifa simply means anti-fascists; it’s a position which can be taken up by almost anyone regardless of their politics.
