South African rapper Cassper Nyovest has made it clear that he has no beef with award-winning singer Tyla, despite social media users trying to compare the two artists.
The discussion started after Cassper celebrated a personal milestone on Spotify in March 2025. At the time, he thanked his supporters after reaching 1.1 million monthly listeners on the streaming platform.

“Shout out to all 1.1 million of you listening to the boy. Much appreciated,” he tweeted on X.
More than a year later, on 2 June 2026, an X user named @Tyla_Tygrs responded to Cassper’s post by comparing his Spotify numbers to Tyla’s.
“That’s why you’ll forever stay Local @casspernyovest!!!!” the user wrote, while sharing a screenshot showing Tyla’s 35.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Cassper quickly responded and defended himself, explaining that he has no issue with the Water hitmaker and is actually one of her biggest supporters.
“Huh? When did I start beefing with TYLA’s fans now when I’m a Tyga myself? Lol… this is funny. I’m a Tyla stan, I don’t want no smoke !!! At all!!!” he replied.

The conversation continued when another user asked, “She’s bigger than you ain’t she?”
Cassper did not hesitate to agree, responding: “WAY BIGGER!!! It’s not even close. Besides that, I love Tyla, I’m very confused. Where does this come from ? Joking about about her picture with Future???”
His response made it clear that he does not see Tyla as competition and has nothing but admiration for the internationally successful star.

However, not everyone was convinced. Another user commented: “Despite being a Tyler fan or not you will forever stay local that’s fact remember look at the mirror man stogie told you.”
Cassper responded with his trademark confidence and humour, saying: “lol, Sho Lethu, I’ll go look into my BIG ASS MIRROR, in my BIG ASS BEDROOM that’s inside my BIG ASS HOUSE.”

Meanwhile, in a separate discussion on X, the rapper also opened up about his recent weight loss transformation after a fan asked how he managed to lose weight so quickly.
Addressing speculation that he used Ozempic, Cassper replied: “Ba re ke ozempic. lol yet I don’t look like the people who took ozempic. Hakitsi. To be honest, I don’t lose weight easily. It takes a while but people notice it when I’m like 80 percent there. I’m not even in shape yet, I just look a bit better. I think I’ll peak in 2/3 months.”
The rapper’s responses showed both his sense of humour and honesty, while also making it clear that there is no bad blood between him and Tyla. Instead, Cassper says he is a proud fan of the global star and has no interest in any rivalry.
