Lobster Trap Transfer Window Closes September 30 as NOAA Seeks to Extend the Program’s Paperwork Approval

Federal lobster permit holders have until September 30 to apply to buy or sell trap allocation for the fishing year that begins next May 1. On September 9, NOAA published a Federal Register notice saying it will ask the Office of Management and Budget to extend approval of the paperwork behind that program, opening a 30-day public comment period.
