Controversial activist and former Ukhozi FM presenter Ngizwe Mchunu has accused Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema of receiving R60 million from Nigerian drug dealers. Mchunu claims the payment was made in exchange for providing political protection to illegal foreigners.
Mchunu made the allegation during a march near the Union Buildings in Pretoria. He claimed Malema’s vocal defence of African immigrants, especially Nigerians, stems from this alleged payment. He also said it explains why the EFF leader is willing to risk his political career to shield illegal immigrants.
The claims were captured in a video that spread quickly on social media platform X. Malema responded by posting, Ndaa, when and where did he say that? His challenge has been widely seen as a demand for clear evidence. Many EFF supporters have urged Malema to pursue legal action, including defamation charges against Mchunu.
