Anele Mdoda Celebrates Her Former PA’s Graduation Success

Media personality and radio host Anele Mdoda has marked a deeply emotional milestone as her former personal assistant graduated from university, sharing heartfelt reflections on his journey and growth.
Anele took to social media to post pictures from the graduation ceremony, where her former PA officially graduated from Gordon Institute of Business Science. Alongside the images, she wrote a powerful message celebrating the moment and what it meant to her personally.
“I think l’ve finally touched what it must feel like to be those grandparents, parents, families who witness the first, the first to step into a world they themselves were never raised to imagine. Today, I watched my first PA walk across that stage at GIBS Business School and claim a future that is entirely his. And it broke me open in the most beautiful way.”
She went on to explain how their professional relationship began and how she always encouraged him to grow beyond the role he started in. “I’ve always said to him, ‘Chap, you can’t be my PA forever, because that would only serve me. What will serve you?’ He made the brave call to choose himself, and mine was simply to stand beside him and support the becoming.”
Anele also shared how meaningful this moment was in her life, even comparing it to motherhood. “Lungani Gumede, outside of giving birth to Alakhe… this is the most rewarding moment of my life.”
She reflected on his transformation from a “runner” to a man building a new path for himself and his family. “To witness someone you met as a runner grow into a man who changes the trajectory of his entire family, it doesn’t get bigger than that.
