A Yellow Level 2 warning is in place for severe thunderstorms with hail, damaging winds, heavy downpours and localised flooding over central and eastern KwaZulu-Natal today. Upington is the hottest at 38°C and Mthatha has the best chance of rain at 60%, while extremely high fire danger is expected over most of the central interior and in places in northern KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape.
