In-Fa Becomes the Western Pacific’s Seventh Super Typhoon of 2026 as NOAA Gives 83% Odds of a Record El Niño

Typhoon In-Fa passed the northernmost Northern Mariana Islands on Saturday, Oct. 31, as the equivalent of a powerful Category 4 hurricane, after becoming the seventh super typhoon to form in the Western Pacific this year, FOX Weather reported. In-Fa had strengthened into a super typhoon on Oct. 28 with maximum sustained winds of 150 mph.
