The Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (LDARD) is strengthening opportunities for young people with agricultural qualifications through a practical training programme designed to improve their employability and prepare them for careers in the agricultural sector. Today, the department is hosting an Induction Programme for Unemployed Agricultural Graduates at Khoroni Hotel in the Vhembe District. The induction brings together unemployed agricultural graduates, host farmers and LDARD officials as the department prepares participants for two years of structured, on-farm learning. The programme provides graduates with an opportunity to move beyond academic knowledge and gain practical experience in real agricultural environments. It also forms part of broader efforts to address youth unemployment and poverty while strengthening the skills base needed to support Limpopo’s agricultural economy.
