North West Agriculture Department Strengthens Youth and Household Food Production Through School and Community Support Initiatives

The North West Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in North West has expanded its efforts to promote food security and youth participation in agriculture through targeted school and community programmes. The initiative focused on practical learning, household support and skills development aimed at improving long-term food production capacity. Activities were carried out in Masutlhe with a strong emphasis on encouraging young people to see agriculture as a viable future pathway. The programme also targeted vulnerable households to improve access to basic food production resources.
