2026 local elections... Who makes the final call when the rules are challenged? That is where the IEC and the Electoral Court come into play. The IEC is the constitutional referee of our elections. The Electoral Court is tasked with adjudicating electoral disputes and reviewing decisions of the IEC. So tonight, we're lifting the lid on the Electoral Court. What does it do? Who can approach it? What can it overturn? And, perhaps most importantly, can it strengthen public confidence in the outcome when the political temperature starts rising? To unpack this, we are joined in studio by Terry Tselane who the Executive Chairman of the Institute of Electoral Management Services in Africa. Also joining us is Mbekezeli Benjamin, Research and Advocacy Officer at Judges Matter. We also take your calls. For more news, visit sabcnews.com and #SABCNews on all Social Media platforms.
