Eight hopeful singles are ready to take a leap of faith as they join the new season of Married at First Sight Mzansi, where they will marry complete strangers in the hope of finding lasting love.
The hit reality series returns for its highly anticipated third season on Mzansi Magic on Sunday, 5 July 2026. Viewers can expect a special 90-minute launch episode at 17:30, before the show moves to its regular weekly timeslot of 18:00.
According to The Citizen, the new season introduces eight singles from different backgrounds, each bringing their own story, life experiences and hopes of finding true love through the unique social experiment.
Among them is Esethu Seku (32), an entrepreneur originally from the Eastern Cape who was raised by her father’s first wife. A devoted mother to her 11-year-old daughter, she has overcome significant personal challenges. After spending three years single, she is now ready to find lasting love.
Also joining the cast is Hlulani Ngobeni (28), a receiving manager who is the youngest of 10 children from a polygamous family. Following the loss of his father, he went through a difficult period that reshaped his outlook on life and relationships. He now believes marriage is the next important step in his journey and hopes Married at First Sight Mzansi can help.
According to The Citizen, Laurinda Mabunda (31), an economist and researcher, has been single for a year and a half. She hopes to build a relationship based on love, stability and emotional safety.
Another hopeful is Lesiba Tleane (34), a home and car financier who holds an engineering degree and comes from a close-knit family. Once a self-proclaimed “King of lifestle”, he has embraced a different lifestyle as he prepares for the marriage he has always wanted through Married at First Sight Mzansi.
The new lineup also includes Matshediso Maphutse (36), a sales and marketing professional who became a mother at the age of 19. Having overcome heartbreak and betrayal while building a better future for herself and her daughter, she is ready to open her heart once again.
Viewers will also meet Nompumelelo Sobopha (24), an entrepreneur, hairdresser and makeup artist. She lost both her parents in a tragic accident when she was just three years old. Independent and resilient, she has built her life through determination and hard work and is now looking for a partner who shares her vision for the future.
Joining them is Obren Masuku (38), a creative entrepreneur and devoted father of two. According to The Citizen, he credits his late father with shaping his values around family and relationships. After recently ending a long-term relationship, he is ready for a fresh start in love on Married at First Sight Mzansi.
Rounding off the group is Prince Zwide Zwane (37), a firefighter whose belief in love and marriage was inspired by his late father. Despite the heartbreak of a broken engagement, he remains hopeful about finding his life partner.
The eight singles are ready to put their trust in the experts and the process as they begin one of the biggest journeys of their lives. As Married at First Sight Mzansi returns, viewers can expect emotional moments, new beginnings and plenty of surprises as these strangers search for their perfect match.
