South African singer Thabsie is back with new music after a long break. The talented artist has officially released her brand-new EP, While You Wait, marking her first music project in nine years.

The six-track EP gives fans a fresh taste of Thabsie’s signature R&B sound. It includes only one featured artist, rapper Emtee, who appears on the song Good Time. The release marks an important moment in her music journey and shows that she is ready to reconnect with listeners.

To celebrate the release, Thabsie shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. She expressed gratitude to everyone who supported the project from beginning to end.

“My new EP ‘While You Wait’ is out now. May these songs find the people they’re meant for.”

She also thanked the people who helped bring the project to life.

“Grateful for each and every person who poured their hearts into making these songs and giving this project life. I love you all so much.”

Her touching words reflected the excitement and appreciation she feels as she shares new music with the world after such a long time.

Speaking to IOL, Thabsie opened up about finally releasing the project. She admitted that there is never a perfect time to make a big move, but sometimes you simply have to trust yourself.

“I don’t think the timing ever feels right, but you just have to take the leap and hope everything will work out.”

She added that returning to music felt like the right decision because it is something she deeply loves.

“I missed my first love, which is music, so the time could not be better.”

The R&B project explores the emotional highs and lows of romantic relationships. It tells the story of someone who knows they are in an unhealthy relationship but continues to feel an emotional pull that makes it difficult to walk away. Through its six songs, While You Wait captures the struggle between the heart and the mind, giving listeners music that many may relate to.

After nine years away from releasing a full project, Thabsie’s return is a reminder of her passion for music. With While You Wait, she hopes the songs will connect with the people who need them most and mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her career.
