Pensioners and social grant recipients across Cape Town who need to renew their rates rebates are being urged to act fast, as strict cut-off dates now apply following the City’s latest General Valuation cycle. Those who submitted renewal applications before 1 July 2026 can relax, as their benefits will be backdated to that date once approved.
