Tyla Performs at Afro Nation Portugal

South African Grammy Award-winning singer Tyla is getting ready for another major moment in her international career as she prepares to perform at one of the biggest music festivals in the world.

The star is set to perform at Afro Nation Portugal 2026, where she has been announced as one of the festival’s main headliners. Afro Nation has become one of the most sought-after festival stages for African artists, attracting thousands of music lovers from around the world every year.

The three-day festival will take place at Praia da Rocha beach in Portimão, Portugal, from July 3 to July 5, 2026. Tyla will share the stage with some of the biggest names in global music, including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Asake, Gunna and Kehlani.

Fans looking forward to seeing the South African star perform won’t have to wait long, as Tyla’s performance is scheduled for Friday, July 3, 2026. Her appearance is expected to be one of the festival’s biggest highlights as she continues to grow her international fan base following her Grammy-winning success.

Afro Nation is known as the world’s biggest Afrobeats and urban music beach festival. Founded in 2019 to unite the African diaspora, the multi-day event celebrates Black culture through music, food and fashion while showcasing some of the biggest names in Afrobeats, Amapiano, Dancehall and R&B.

Tyla will not be the only South African artist representing the country at the festival. Several other local stars have also secured spots on the impressive lineup, giving fans even more reason to celebrate South African music on the global stage.

South African Amapiano artists performing alongside Tyla include Focalistic, Uncle Waffles, Daliwonga, LeeMcKrazy, Mawhoo, Zee Nxumalo, Kelvin Momo, Felo Le Tee and Madumane, among others.

These artists are regularly featured on the festival’s dedicated Piano People stage, where Amapiano and Afro-house sounds are showcased to the global diaspora. Their inclusion highlights the continued rise of South African music and the growing influence of Amapiano on the international stage.

With Tyla leading the lineup as one of the main headliners and several South African artists joining the celebration, Afro Nation Portugal 2026 is set to be another unforgettable showcase of African talent and culture.
