After exploring the scenery, oceans, and wildlife, The Lovers Passport declared South Africa a travel highlight of the year, and it was so unforgettable, they’re bringing a group back later in 2026.

South Africa (02 March 2026) – California adventure travel bloggers Giselle and Stephen, the faces behind The Lovers Passport, have seen the world, but nothing prepared them for South Africa. In a viral video that has racked up over 200,000 views, the couple couldn’t hide their awe as they explored Cape Town’s stunning landscapes.

Jaws were dropped as they captured breathtaking glimpses of oceans, wildlife, hiking trails, and serene escapes that made them declare: South Africa ruined every other country for them, in the best way possible.

And who can blame them? South Africa is full of jaw-dropping spots that consistently earn global recognition. Take Boulders Beach, one of the country’s most iconic beaches, which has claimed top positions across multiple categories in the Traveller’s Choice Awards Best of the Best. Or Durban, recently ranked 14th on Time Out’s newly released list of the best places to travel in 2026. With destinations like these, it’s no wonder South Africa keeps leaving visitors absolutely speechless.

Reflecting on their trip, the duo shared that South Africa was one of their favourite destinations of the previous year. So much so that they’ve already planned another trip later this year, promising activities like Big Five safaris, sunset game drives, wine tasting, snorkeling, and more.

Their video and stories have sparked excitement online, with viewers flooding the comments, all wanting to experience this themselves.

Giselle and Stephen hope to share the beauty of South Africa and the experience of adventure, nature, and unforgettable memories.
