Carl Jung defined introversion and extroversion as two different ways of processing information. Introversion works with information internally, by quietly reviewing perceptions, ideas, and feelings. Extroverts examine similar material by talking and engaging in conversation. As a natural outcome, introverts tend to speak in bottom lines, reflecting the result of an inner process. Extroverts move verbally toward a conclusion, which may require an extended conversation.
