Singer Yanga Sobetwa and her husband Ntswako Khoza recently celebrated over a year of marriage, marking a special milestone in their relationship.

In a joint Instagram post, the couple reflected on their journey together and shared a heartfelt message about marriage and faith.

They wrote, “Just over a year ago I made one of the biggest and best decisions of my life. The Apostle Paul writes “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things” and the day I decided to get married my life changed FOREVER for the good and I’m grateful to the Lord for allowing me to become the man I am growing to be backed by “the wife of my youth” #happilyeverafter.”

The couple got engaged in April 2025. At the time, Yanga shared a sweet photo where she smiled happily while hugging Ntswako and proudly showing off her beautiful diamond engagement ring. The caption simply read, “God can. God did.”

On April 26, 2025, the pair tied the knot in a beautiful and private wedding ceremony attended by close friends and family. The intimate celebration was filled with love and marked the beginning of their new chapter together.

In June 2025, Yanga opened up about marriage during an interview on the Engineer Your Life podcast. The singer spoke honestly about how marriage has challenged her at a young age.

“It’s not a problem, but it is certainly a challenge,” she admitted. “Marriage is about dying to self. Dying to self, as a lady or human being, is already difficult, so dying to serve someone else is more difficult. Marriage is a huge challenge, but God has blessed us with a community.”

Yanga also shared that Ntswako came into her life after she experienced heartbreak in a previous relationship.

“I think he played a big role in the healing process,” she said. “God is intentional.”

Deeply rooted in her Christian faith, the singer also spoke candidly about abstinence and dating with purpose.

“Abstaining is not easy. You have to do it for yourself,” she said. “I don’t see how people can date for a long time and still do it in a Godly way. If you do it that way, there has to be a set time and expectations to where you are going.”

She further explained what “Godly dating” means to her.

“I’m not an expert and I’m only married once. I can’t tell you what Godly marriage is, but it is more like courtship than dating. We did it God’s way, though there were failures along the way.”
