Back in March, Nvidia unveiled DLSS 5: the new version of its Deep Learning Super Sampling upscaling tech, tentatively slated for a fall 2026 release, which includes a generative AI upscaling mode that completely alters the way games look. The internet immediately recoiled in horror at the yassified AI slop filter, prompting Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, to state that everyone was “completely wrong” about the tech and that Capcom and Bethesda were on board with the “artistic control” that DLSS 5 offers.
