Eastern Cape MEC for Agriculture Nonceba Kontsiwe is in Mhlontlo Municipality today, handing over agricultural infrastructure worth millions of rands to support farming and strengthen local livelihoods. The infrastructure handovers form part of efforts to improve agricultural production and create better conditions for farmers and agricultural businesses in the area. Earlier in the day, MEC Kontsiwe officially handed over irrigation infrastructure to a youth-led agricultural project at Sigubudwini Village. She then moved to Nyanisweni Village, where she handed over a Springwater Project. The developments highlight the importance of infrastructure in helping farmers improve production and build stronger agricultural enterprises.
