South African media personality, content creator and founder of Awkward Dates, Lasizwe Dambuza, has officially been named one of the Top 20 Creators Worth Following for 2026. The recognition comes from Humanz South Africa, which highlighted his contribution to the online entertainment industry.

Lasizwe has been in the content creation industry for more than a decade. He began his journey around 2014–2015, first posting videos on Facebook before expanding to YouTube. Although he started creating content earlier, his official YouTube channel has been active from 2017 to the present.
By April 2019, he had already reached 100,000 subscribers. In December 2024, he surpassed an impressive 1 million subscribers. By late 2025, he continued to grow as a prominent digital creator. In November 2025, he launched a new series titled Nomatriquency: The Funeral, marking roughly 10 to 11 years in the industry.
