Some even call this blatant violence and murder “emotional disputes,” completely concealing the nature of the behavior.

Many people’s minds turn into a mess when faced with family issues.
They believe in phrases like “a family is not a place for reasoning,” “even the best judge can’t settle family disputes,” and “fights at the head of the bed will be resolved at the foot of the bed.” They are moved by behaviors that blur boundaries, thinking:

• This is what mutual support looks like.
• This is what selfless love means.
• This is the warmth of a safe harbor.
• This is the true meaning of family.

Every time you try to talk to them about reason and logic, they jump up and say:
“How can you calculate things like this in a family?”
“Is this what you call being a family?”
“How can you be so cold-blooded?”
