Hill-Lewis takes Police Minister to task over Metro Police powers

Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis has lodged an intergovernmental dispute with Acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia over the City’s push for Metro Police officers to receive crime investigation powers, arguing the move would strengthen the fight against gang, gun and drug crime.
