(The Post News) – Former Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi is swapping the global stage for South Africa’s most-watched lifestyle show, Top Billing

The lifestyle magazine show which has been off air for seven years returns to SABC 3 on Thursday, 30 April at 19:00. Repeat episodes will air on Saturdays at 13:00, with additional rebroadcasts on Tuesdays across SABC 1 and SABC+ at 21:30.

Explaining the timing of the show’s return, Top Billing Executive Producer Patience Stevens said that bringing the programme back now feels incredibly special for everyone involved because inspiring local stories matter more than ever in the current media landscape.

She further added that the production team is committed to honouring the legacy that Top Billing has built over decades on South African television.
Stevens claims that the new episodes will feel fresh, culturally relevant, and deeply connected to the conversations, aspirations and everyday realities that define today’s audience across SABC3, SABC 1 and SABC+.

Basetsana Kumalo, Dr. Fez Mkhize, Jonathan Boynton-Lee, Dr Michael Mol, Ryle De Morny will return to the show as presenters. SABC also announced that Sine Mpulu will join the new season of Top Billing as its dedicated social media presenter. In a social media post, Top Billing said Kumalo is “bringing her timeless elegance, poise and unmistakable presence to a brand-new season.”

Things to Know About Zozibini Tunzi

Tunzi was born in Tsolo, Eastern Cape on 18 September 1993. The South African model, actress, and beauty pageant titleholder is married to Lusanda Bolowana. She was crowned Miss South Africa in 2019. Tunzi was crowned Miss Universe in 2019, making her the first black South African woman to hold the title.
