Moozlie Joins Metro FM as New Weekend Host

South African rapper, TV host and creative director Nomuzi Mabena has landed an exciting new role on Metro FM. The media personality, who is widely known as Moozlie, has officially been announced as the station’s new weekend host alongside fellow presenter Siyabonga Ngwekazi.
The popular radio station shared the big news on social media, revealing that the duo will bring a fresh and energetic show to listeners every weekend.
Metro FM wrote: “MOOZLIE & SCOOP ON THE MIGHTY METRO @metrofmsa Your Friday & Saturday Nights just got the Culture Update!! Some things are big but THIS IS COLOSSAL!! And it’s gonna be SO good!! GET READY!!”
The station also explained that the new show will officially start in April and promises to bring a different sound and vibe to weekend radio.
“On #METROFM, we’re introducing a fresh new sound to your weekends. From Friday, 3 April 2026, Siyabonga ‘Scoop Makhathini’ Ngwekazi and Nomuzi ‘Moozlie’ Mabena take over with a brand new show bringing you fashion, music, entertainment and real street culture. Catch them every Friday from 19:00 to 22:00 and Saturday from 18:00 to 21:00.”
Moozlie also shared her excitement with her followers after the announcement. She reflected on how she has visited the station many times in the past for interviews, making the new opportunity feel even more special.
“I’ve been coming to @metrofmsa for interviews my whole career but officially joining the family feels like an absolute dream. Definitely the dawn of a new era & I’m so excited.”
Fans and fellow celebrities quickly filled her comments with congratulatory messages and words of support.
Interior designer Lungile Thabethe wrote, “Mooz. Congrats my angel.” Actress Thando Thabethe also celebrated the moment, commenting, “Major!!! Congratulations beautiful.”
