Phumlani Njabulo Ngema is a passionate and dedicated farmer committed to shaping the future of agriculture in South Africa. Born in Durban and raised on his grandmother’s small farm in Vryheid, he earned the affectionate nickname “umfanakagogo,” meaning grandmother’s boy. Early exposure to farming instilled in him a deep love for agriculture. From feeding chickens and goats to assisting with fieldwork, Ngema’s childhood experiences laid the foundation for his lifelong commitment to farming.
