Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) has confirmed two more black bear attacks in southern Colorado, bringing the state's 2026 total to 10, the most on record. CPW counts an attack as any incident in which a bear injures or kills a person. Some early news reports numbered the two incidents as the state's 11th and 12th of the year, but CPW's confirmed total stands at 10.
