THE FUSE

Valve unveiled a whole host of new hardware options in late 2025, headlined by the new Steam Machine console, Steam Controller and Steam Frame VR headset. The Steam Machine is a dinky device that's part PC, part home console. Running on SteamOS, the hardware is designed for a plug-in-and-play experience, all the while offering the versatility of a PC, including the ability to install apps and other operating systems. The Steam Machine was initially pencilled in to launch in early 2026, although the ongoing RAM shortage has seemingly led to a delay, with the release date currently up in the air. Fortunately, however, it looks like this could all change very soon.
