CDC Merges Its Flu and Coronavirus Divisions into a Single Respiratory Virus Unit

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has merged its Influenza Division and its Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Diseases Division into a single Influenza and Respiratory Viruses Division, according to a notice published in the Federal Register on Wednesday. The reorganization was approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services on August 18 and took effect on September 4.
