THE FUSE

When my husband and I moved to New York, I knew that the sectional sofa we had was not going to come along for the ride. Not only would our new apartment be much smaller than our place back home, but the narrow doorways and stairs meant that not just any sized couch would fit — so we needed something that came in pieces. We also wanted our new sofa to be a sleeper so we could host friends and family who come to visit, thus narrowing down our options even further. The sleeper sofas we found had bulky pull-out mechanisms that wouldn’t fit into our apartment, and the ones we found that would fit in our place weren’t sleepers at all.
